Applications
● Heavily loaded gear sets
Shell Omala S3 GP gearbox oils are designed for the lubrication
of industrial gear sets in enclosed casings under heavy
operating conditions, including applications where shock
loading occurs.
● Worn or damaged gear sets
These oils can be used in older transmission systems where
the gear teeth are worn, damaged or poorly aligned. The
“Extreme Pressure” performance provides additional
protection under such conditions.

● Extended oil life – savings on maintenance
The formulation of Shell Omala S3 GP was developed with
good thermal stability and good resistance to ageing
throughout the full service interval in mind. This
counteracts the formation of deposits or oxidation residue
and ensures good in-service performance, even at
temperatures up to 100°C.
